Background
Families are stuck at home due to the coronavirus, but when the shelter in place orders lift, we will want to create new memories with shared travel experiences and go back to booking stays with Airbnb. As members document their family trips, the stories they tell could create earned trust for local Airbnb hosts by incorporating them into these stories.
Challenge
Empower families and groups of friends who travel together in a collaborative way to document, organize, and share their travel experiences and stays with the larger Airbnb community. In a mobile app, we provided a way to combine photos and notes and transform their shared family trips into immersive stories about the culture and destinations they visit.

With Explore by Airbnb, you can add friends to your “planned trip” board, share and converse through the messaging aspect and plan your next trip from the comfort of your home. Through the app, you can enjoy Airbnb’s newest feature, virtual travelling. Our target audience is Airbnb users, people who love to travel and book group trips but can also be lone-travellers who prefer to have individual experiences.
Users can post their reviews, like & save other's posts and add them to their itinerary. Major milestones would be integration with Airbnb, planning trip function, messaging, style, and overall feel to be consistent with Airbnb.
